Candle Creations started back in 2009, we grew out of the ashes of the Global Financial Crisis, the most challenging economic time many of us had ever been though. Back then we were a boutique candle manufacturer, like many of you are today, earning a living by making and selling soy candles. This was a fledgling industry and people started asking to buy some of our wax (GW464) so we helped by sharing what supplies we had. Then you asked for fragrance, and wicks, and jars, and we helped with all of that too. We started expanding our range and building our stock levels, we quit making candles so we could focus solely on helping to support the industry and supply the best candle making ingredients we could find. We poured our profits back into the business, expanding our range and improving our systems.

Today, we are still the only full-service candle supplies company that is 100% NZ owned, 100% dedicated to candles, and is not affiliated with or owned by a candle making company (i.e, you are not buying your supplies from your candle making competitors) and we are proud of this fact. We all understand how tough times can be, especially in the current climate and we know it’s tempting to grab that deal on Temu, or Alibaba, or shop on Aussie sites! But we just wanted to say thank you to all our loyal customers for continuing to buy from us and buy local. By spending your money here at home in NZ, local staff can in turn spend in NZ, and the people they spend with might just be the customer that buys your candle! Support local businesses and the local economy.

We are always looking for ways that we can give back to you whether its on the products we offer, the price or the quality, so here are a few initiatives we are currently working on…

COST SAVINGS – We continue to find ways to reduce our costs and pass on any savings, or at least off-set potential price increases, so that you can be sure of getting the best value. Being a wholesaler we do offer bulk purchasing which reduces the price down even further, the more your buy the cheaper it is. Maybe chat with some friends and combine your orders to take advantage of these savings.

BIG DISCOUNTS – on slower moving stock we are discounting and clearing these lines at big discounts, in some cases below cost. Make sure you keep an eye out on our Sale page and our Discontinued products.

ZIP NOW, PAY LATER – We’ve traditionally avoided “Buy Now, Pay Later” solutions, preferring to keep our costs as low as possible. However, we know that some of our customers demand it, and that at this point it can be helpful to buy now, make candles, sell them, and pay later. So, we have introduced a BNPL called Zip.

A NEW ECONOMY WAX BRAND IS COMING – After searching long and hard, we have finally found an economy soy wax that we are happy with. We have had this wax formulated especially for us, starting with a container wax, so if you want cheap soy wax; this will be the best value and quality available at this price point in New Zealand.

BUNDLES – We continue to offer value bundles, buy this get that, and other cost saving promotions. If there’s anything you’d like to see, our ears are open.
