At the heart of everything we do, is fragrance. Since 2010 we’ve been leading the way and developing our knowledge and supply lines to bring you the finest fragrances for candle making. Over the years we have built a long-standing relationship with our boutique fragrance house in America, sharing knowledge, trends and understanding the science that goes into all of our fragrances. Our extensive fragrance range is EPA compliant in NZ, 100% free of phthalates, paraffin, UV inhibitors, and our fragrances are not tested on animals.

Now, as the experts in candle fragrance in New Zealand, we are excited to announce the launch of our own premium range of oils. When we approached our fragrance house early in 2022 about creating a new brand of fragrance for the NZ market they were very excited to get involved. Since then, we have been formulating and developing our own unique blends and are excited to finally share the first three with you. The new premium fragrance brand is called Olomé (ol a may). The name being derived from a combination of two very important words in the candle fragrance world;

‘Olfaction‘ – the special sense through which smells are perceived and

‘Home‘ – a place where we feel comfortable and safe

The two words blended together create Olomé a brand that reflects premium fragrance oils specially designed for candles, melts and diffusers.

Deep Premium Blend

Fragrance oils are made up of a combination of notes, essentially the different scent layers that make up the final fragrance. These scents are split into three distinct elements: top notes, mid notes and base notes. Depending on the notes you are burning will depend on how quickly they evaporate. For example, top notes have a lower evaporation point, meaning they start evaporating at lower temperatures whereas base notes have higher evaporation points and become more dominant when the candle is burning.

Most fragrances have equal quantities of top, mid and base notes but Olomé is different. Olomé has been developed with a much heavier base note that not only lingers in the room for longer but produces a stronger scent that is full of rich woody accords.
We are delighted to be able to offer a range of full-bodied fragrances that are packed with a combination of scents that evaporate into the air, penetrate the room and leave a long-lasting scent.

We are aware that it can be very hard to smell a product online, so we have invested time and energy into developing our listings for these premium scents.

Pictorial Images – each product has a group of carefully selected pictorial images for each of the elements that make up the fragrance

Fragrance Triangle – each product has a unique fragrance triangle that enables you to see the ingredients and proportion of each note

Descriptors – we have used descriptors that use the fragrance wheel characteristics and describe the scent in away that we can literally smell

Essential Oil Callouts – Highlighted the essential oils that are in each of the premium fragrances

Safety Data Sheets and IFRA’s – We have also added both the Safety data sheets and the IFRA’s for each of these fragrances enabling you to easily review the data sheets

Packaging

We are always looking for new sustainable ways to package our products so for our premium oils we are using glass amber bottles that can be recycled or re-used.

These bottles not only keep the fragrance fresh the bottles have a seal within the lids to help with any potential leakages in shipping.

Our labels also contain important information about the fragrance and have a handy QR code which will take you straight to our site.
